CROPPED CAPERS
The cropped jacket hasn't been fully showcased so far this season, but
once temperatures soar, so too will jacket hemlines.
Bonnie says: "The tailored blazer is big this season as seen at Richard
Nicoll, D&G and Burberry. The other key trend is the bolero, or cropped
jacket.
"Cropped styles are great with girls with longer torsos - try to wear
one block colour underneath so that the look is not too fragmented."
The cropped jacket sits at its best with high-waisted trousers or a
full-cut skirt to create an emphasis on this season's all-important high
waist.
Opt for Dorothy Perkins' green crop cotton jacket, £25 (40 Euros),
Peacocks' dark purple cropped jacket, £12, or Florence+Fred's jacquard
crop number, £40, at Tesco.
Those who seek solace in designer-style details should keep their eyes
peeled for natty features on sleeves and collars like Miss Selfridge's
cream canvas bell sleeve jacket, £40 (60 Euros), or ASOS' collarless
cropped jacket, £25. |
