As his new movie Die Hard 4.0 is out now, actor Justin Long talks about being Bruce Willis' sidekick, his dreams of becoming a priest and laughs about eventually landing a role where he can play his own age.

It's almost 20 years since the first Die Hard instalment hit cinema
screens and this time big John McClane is battling a very 21st century foe - internet-based terrorists bent on crippling the USA with computer-generated attacks. Enter Justin's hacker character, who leads the ex-cop through the world wide web.

Together, Justin and Bruce form the ultimate odd couple combination - a dynamic Justin says spilt over from real life. "They are so different - it is the classic formula of the old, disgruntled, analogue, old-fashioned guy and this upstart, 21st-century, hipster, anti-establishment outcast.

"Truthfully, Bruce and I are very different people and very different actors so I think all of our differences really help that dynamic. It was fun to find common ground and I think towards the end of the movie the characters have a father-son sort of relationship."

With all the techno wizardry he pulls in the film, does this mean Justin is a bit of a geek off-camera as well? The answer, surprisingly, is no - but apparently Bruce Willis knows his way around the net. "I can check my email and download music but he was really into surfing the net," Justin says.

What about all the technical stuff? "It was like speaking a foreign
language. I had to say 'mutating introspection algorithm' a few times and there was a time that I kind of knew what it meant - you have to understand what you are saying and be honest about it. But as soon as we were done with shooting any of those scenes, I was so relieved."
