Simon Cowell Pays Mortgage Of A US Couple
Cowell paid the £80,000 mortgage so that the couple could pay for their daughter's cancer treatment.
TV's Mr Nasty appeared on Oprah with Leona Lewis and told Randy and Amy Stoen that he would be their three year old daughter Madelaine's "guardian angel".
Cowell told the understandably tearful Amy; "I didn't know what to do in this situation other than to do something which I hope will help your situation. I know you are having problems with your mortgage. As of this afternoon, your mortgage has been paid off,"
Cowell said later; " I never knew doing good could feel so good."
