Ricky Gervais wants A-Listers in his third series
nuts4chic can exclusively reveal that Ricky Gervais plan to make a third series of the hit series Extras and he wants Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in it.
Ricky has made it no secret that he doesn’t like sitcoms that run on for too long as audiences can become easily bored. This is the reason why he axed his other sitcom The Office after only two series and it was rumoured that he would be doing the same thing with Extras.
But the comedian has vowed to make another series of the hit sitcom and will be keeping the likable characters of Andy Millman and Maggie Jacobs.
Ricky told The Sun: “People seem to like it and I think that there's some mileage in it. My wish list for guests to appear in another series is as long as your arm, but Governor Schwarzenegger has to be there.”
And along with Arnie, he also hopes that Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis and Dick Van Dyke will also be able to have guest spots in the next series.
A host of stars came forward to make an appearance in the last series of sitcom, including Ben Stiller, Kate Winslet and Samuel L Jackson.
Ricky is now appearing alongside Stiller in a cameo role in the film A Night at the Museum (as you do!) and he said: “Ben asked for me, he was returning the favour I guess. They're all doing me favours, I'm aware of that, and I also know that you use up goodwill quickly in Hollywood.”
Like The Office, Extras was also shown on BBC America and became a cult hit. Ricky added: “You get a kind of kudos and people have faith in you.”
I can’t wait for the third series; it is bound to be a hit!
