Hugh Grant handcuffed!

Possibly demonstrating an understanding of allegedly commitment-phobic Hugh Grant that Jemima Khan never had, a Dutch journalist handcuffed herself to the actor at the weekend.

Cielke Sijben, from Dutch TV network 101 TV, pounced on Hugh at the Dutch premiere of Music and Lyrics. According to ContactMusic.com, he was left 'stunned' - unsurprisingly - when she slapped the metal cuff on his wrist.

Grant then had to wait for 10 minutes while Dutch police arrested the journalist and fire fighters were summoned to get the cuff off.

After the cuffs were removed, Grant returned to the meet and greet of fans.

'It was incredible,' said an onlooker. 'She appeared from nowhere and Grant couldn't believe it was happening. But he was the ultimate professional. He just stood in silence and waited for the fire fighters to free him.

'He did look relieved when he disappeared into the theatre - she could have been a maniac.'
