Don't Worry, Be Happy

:: You're most likely to be a worrier if you're a teen, 16-19. They worry about getting on the property ladder more than saving the planet, school, or even sex.

An alarming one in 10 worries 12 hours a day.

:: Next biggest worriers are singletons, who are twice as likely to worry all the time, 12 hours a day, compared to married couples. They're preoccupied about whether they'll have children.

:: Women outstrip men in worrying, and fret about the cost of living, ageing, and their partner cheating (11% vs 5%).

Men worry more about social issues like immigration and are twice as worried about sex as women (15% vs 7% women)!

:: Parents worry most whether their child is being bullied or taking
drugs.

:: Retired Brits are the group least likely to spend time worrying - a
quarter say they never worry at all.

Top worries

:: Top worries are personal health, outgoings and income, closely
followed by crime, the cost of living, terrorism and children's future. Bottom of the list are social issues like racism and prejudice and losing national identity.

:: Most of us worry in bed on Mondays, while Tuesday is the most
worry-free day, and mid-afternoons are when we're most likely to forget our troubles.
