"Shows like that are just wrong," he says. "Plastic surgery screws with your head. I can't guarantee you will get that job promotion, that surgery will go exactly how we anticipated. But there is potential that surgery will profoundly change your life and give you greater self-confidence.
"My job is to make people happy," he says. "Take a woman in her mid-50s whose husband has just left her with their two kids for a young girl - I want to make her look really good and put her out there. That gives me some pleasure."
Lesesne says most cultures are obsessed with looking youthful.
"Thanks to modern medicine people are living longer, and they want to look as good as they feel. The biggest issue for most people is fear the fear of getting older, fear that they will be changed in some way, fear of the operation," he says.

And it seems you're never too young to have surgery. Lesesne performs ear operations on young children and reshapes teenagers' noses, as well as doing breast surgery, eye lifts and liposuction on women in their 20s and beyond.
"Genes you can't change, but surgery is very good," he says, admitting he's even tested his own handiwork - administering Botox injections to his forehead and even a little lipsosuction under his chin.
GETTING A SKINFUL
While surgery is great for contouring the face and body, Lesesne says good skin care is more effective at improving the skin's texture than chemical processes.
"I love being a doctor and I love being a surgeon, but there are some things I cannot change, and that's the texture of someone's skin."
Lesesne's range of skincare will be available in the UK from the autumn. Meanwhile, he has the following advice
DON'T USE TOO MUCH "Most women put on way too much stuff on their skin and most of what they're putting on doesn't work. Most of what's out there is hokum," he says.
