THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS - We Are The Night

The Chemical Brothers have walked an eclectic line in the years and this latest album is suitably inspired.

The opener, No Path To Follow, kicks off the album in anthemic style, The Salmon Dance is a slice of hip-hop infused mayhem while the title track shows exactly how these resolutely British brothers have absorbed the Gallic dance imprint with ease.

This isn't vintage Chems, but those naysayers who pronounced 'the death of dance music' will have a little more to think about now.

NYPC have played musical tease with their growing fanbase over the past year: gigging, releasing few singles and resting on their Great New Rave Hope laurels.

Their first long-play release is vindication for the fluoro-wearing masses who've been waiting for dance rock greatness to
happen, because happen it does.

Glam 80s synth sounds, a nod or two in
the direction of LCD Soundsystem and Tahita Bulmer's Le Tigre-ish vocals, make this lush, fun, clever, and impossible not to dance to.
